World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items lets players upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item, and can also add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Armour is among the main factors that keep Link protected from injury in most situations. Although it isn't upgraded like weapons, it is possible to improve its defence capabilities in different ways.
The basic idea of armour is to protect the person or animal from physical injury or harm, either from direct physical assault or from a range of dangers posed by the environment and activities. In the past, armour was typically constructed from leather or fabric, but later metal protections were used as well for military purposes, particularly such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
Like item upgrading there are a variety of ways in which armor can be upgraded, but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a distinct degree of improvement and higher levels of protection that require more rupees as well as materials.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades, meaning that after they've been put in place, they can't be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. You should only apply most powerful upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have all the components required to complete the process.

In terms of acquiring the required upgrade components, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule, including shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They're usually identified by a blue triangle or a gold circle symbol and are found in huge numbers as you progress through. Although they can appear randomly, there's a chance that acquiring certain upgrade elements will trigger quests that reward players with more.
It's important to keep in mind that, although the level provided by each upgrade may differ, it will always be more than zero. This is because a complete set of upgraded armor will grant you a high defense boost, which will shield you from all forms of attacks, excluding magic which makes it a very effective tool for any type of.
Weapons
If you'd like to make your guns unique, you can enhance them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. These can increase damage, change the weapon's stats to cater to your build and even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments and other options for aesthetics.
To upgrade a weapon, you'll require an upgrade component ready as well as the item itself. The weapon should be at or near a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons only take one upgrade.
Weapon upgrade components can be found scattered throughout the world, from the enemy or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are made up of ingredients that can be incorporated into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect when they are in use. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they can be used to enhance the base stats of a weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. They can be obtained from enemies that are dropped into the open, bought from certain vendors, or obtained from combat.
There are two NPCs that can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon and an upgrade.
It's crucial to prioritize upgrading your most-used items first, followed by the ones you won't replace soon. If you're planning on playing a melee build, for instance, upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders followed by your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, based on your playstyle, some procs will be more useful than others. Similar is the case for Armour and reforges, with some having superior performance over others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item at a time. If an upgrade plan is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for that item will not begin. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the gold they would normally cost to create or purchase, but they can also have extra advantages.
A magical item is any item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some are also armor, shields and cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings and other items. Some of these items can be converted into a sentient.
Most magic items can enhance their capabilities. This can make them more useful to a player or help them overcome a difficult encounter. A weapon that contains a special substance might, for instance, provide additional damage against a specific type of enemy. This is especially beneficial for those who have reached the point where they're likely to face a single kind of monster over and over again in the dungeons.
A ring infused with magic could grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or cut (excluding silvered attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly useful for combatants who are melee or any person who wishes to avoid purchasing a shield.
Certain items with enchanted properties have special abilities that allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's list of spells. This is helpful for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted items generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling on an index based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other items that can be enchanted may let the user change their appearance, or create an entirely new appearance. These are particularly beneficial for those who have had to leave their homes, or are in a place where they might not be accepted. An item that is magical can provide them with an invisibility effect, or even make them invisible to everyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that do not fit into the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons and have various capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor and Clothing, no utility item will be in conflict with the other. The majority of utility items come with a passive effect that players can activate by using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button, or by activating a skill.
Generally, the most common type of utility item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other utilities include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while moving, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can create instantly a variety of utility items, while others are unlocked by Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the items available in their regular inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded for greater effectiveness.
The majority of utility items boost a specific combat attribute or provide the player with some sort of advantage in navigation. For instance, sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman increase Concentration and Healing Power. Other utility items can be utilized by players to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can equip a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, an additional slot is made available by equipping certain types of armor or by completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is equipped in the main grenade slot.
